The Puttkammer Center for Educational Justice and Equity aims to identify and promote best practices in the field of carceral and reentry education, with a focus on tutoring, academic support, and college and career readiness programs. Our work builds on the PGP’s expertise and its network of researchers, practitioners, and advocates, while centering the voices and experience of system-impacted people.
The goal of the Center is to help the PGP grow in a strategic and sustainable way, while serving as a catalyst for research and policy proposals that promote access to high quality education behind and beyond bars.
